A pilgrimage group of friars, lay Carmelites and friends met in Rome over the weekend of 13 – 16 May to celebrate the canonisation of Titus Brandsma:
“On Friday 13 May, we began our pilgrimage in Rome for the Canonisation of Titus Brandsma. Thank you to our brothers in the Irish Province for inviting us to their opening Mass in St Albert’s College (CISA).”
Later that day, we attended the Vigil Mass and prayer before the canonisation at The Basilica Saint Paul outside the walls:

On Monday 16 May, we returned to Saint Peter’s Basilica for a Mass of thanksgiving for the Canonisation of Saint Titus Brandsma.
Lord our God, source and giver of life, you gave Saint Titus the spirit of courage to proclaim human dignity and the freedom of the Church, even in the throes of degrading persecution and death.
Grant us that same Spirit so that in the coming of your Kingdom of justice and peace we might never be ashamed of the Godpel but be enabled to recognise your loving kindness on all the events of our lives.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen
(Opening prayer of the Mass)
