The British Province of Carmelites has launched a new Carmelite Spirituality Series of videos on its YouTube channel.
In these videos, Carmelite friars alongside other members and friends of the Order will offer short reflections on different aspects of Carmelite spirituality, or give a Carmelite perspective on various aspects of life.
It is hoped that the Carmelite Spirituality Series will offer people a word of hope and encouragement as the Covid-19 pandemic drags on, and access to Carmelite churches and pilgrimage sites remains limited.
The first video, launched on 1st October to mark the feast of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, focusses on the great Carmelite saint nicknamed “The Little Flower”. The reflection is presented by Fr. Francis Kemsley, O.Carm., Prior of Aylesford Priory in Kent.
A new video will be published approximately every fortnight, thanks to the kind assistance of Southwark Catholic Youth Service. Future topics will include: Saint Teresa of Avila; Remembering Our Departed Ones; Advent; the Immaculate Conception; Blessed Titus Brandsma; and Saint John of the Cross.
