On Saturday 3rd October, there was great joy and thanksgiving at The Friars, Aylesford, as our brother Matthew Janvier O.Carm made his Solemn Profession as a Carmelite.
Surrounded by his family, friends and members of the wider Carmelite family, Matthew made his lifelong commitment to God and to the Carmelite Order, professing the vows of obedience, poverty and chastity.
Solemn Profession marks an important moment in the life of a Carmelite. Through his profession, Matthew commits himself to following Christ in the Carmelite way of life, rooted in prayer, community and service.
It was a wonderful occasion to celebrate with Matthew and to give thanks for his vocation, his journey in Carmel and all those who have accompanied and supported him along the way.
We give thanks to God for Matthew and pray that he will continue to be guided and strengthened as he lives out his vocation within the Carmelite family.
Please continue to keep Matthew in your prayers.
