For many years the National Shrine of Saint Jude has supported various Carmelite Missions in the developing world. Although currently no British friars are serving in the missions, the British Province has given financial and other assistance wherever it can in the developing world.

Some of the recent projects include: famine relief in East Africa; helping the Carmelite Friars in Mozambique; a regular program of ongoing grants to support the costs of the formation of Carmelite students around the world; the work of the Divine Providence hospital for cancer patients in El Salvador; a full and up to date library was donated to the missions in Kenya. Donations towards the Carmelite missions fund will go towards any future projects we support in 2017.
